Hiking

One of Freiburg's highlights! About 800 meters of elevation gain in 20 minutes, and with a bit of luck, an indescribable view of the Black Forest, the Vosges Mountains, and the Alps (even Mont Blanc in favorable weather conditions). Chamois can often be seen from the gondola in the rocks directly after the mid-station (east)! 😃

Hiking

Not cheap, but an experience, especially for children. You come very comfortably up the mountain and down again. The mountain restaurant is great and highly recommended, not even expensive.
