The Geiersnest / Gerstenhalmeck is actually a hiking car park at 820 m altitude. Road cycling

The climb over Ortisei to Geiersnest and up to Eduardshöhe is a special gem in the Freiburg area. The route is a dead end for motor vehicles, which keeps the traffic, especially that of the motorized two-wheeler fraction, clearly within limits. So it is pretty quiet here, can enjoy the quite sporty climb and listen to the twittering of birds due to the lack of wind.
