In Konigsfeld springs the Aufseß, a 23-kilometer-long brook, which flows into Doesen in the Wiesent. The Wiesent, which flows through Treunitz in a parallel valley and the Aufseß are the only constantly flowing waters in the municipality. At the Aufseß are also Kotzendorf and Voitmannsdorf. Huppendorf, Laibarös and Poxdorf have no running waters. The lack of water and the permeable karst soil were a reason for occasional water emergency in dry summer months before the construction of the water pipes.
