Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Where is the earthly paradise? Of course in the district of Bamberg, more precisely, between Stadelhofen and Treunitz. The magical valley is about six kilometers long and measures at the widest point 200 meters, otherwise there are only 50-80 meters between the forest-covered slopes.
The hiking car park on the A70 near Stadelhofen is the ideal starting point for hikes into the Paradise Valley. In addition to many parking facilities can be found here also several information boards that provide information about the area and walks from Stadelhofen. From here, the "Blue Circle", a circular walk leads directly into Paradise Valley. Paradise Valley is a popular hiking destination as it is one of the most beautiful dry valleys in Franconian Switzerland. In my opinion it is the most beautiful!
A quiet, flat, maximum 30 m deep incised side valley with everything you want to see in a short distance: rocks, caves and an almost forgotten castle stable with (unfortunately growing) viewpoint at the top of the desert stone.
The Wanderwag through the flat valley has no gradients and is suitable for strollers and Fußkranke. Many of the "attractions" are right on the trail. When wet, I would not recommend the (grassland) Wanderwag.
Alternatively, the following hiking trails are available closer to Paradise Valley:
> North at the beginning of the valley 500 m south of Wölkerndorf, distance to the beginning of the valley = Langerstein only 200 m.

The rock needle with the head is a beautiful rock, which only comes into its own if it were uncovered as solitary as the preaching chair.
On the contrary, the rock is growing too. During my visit in the summer of 2018, you only saw your head and you had to look for it.
