The chapel was built in 1999 and is one of the youngest in Königsfeld. It is an example of the fact that even in our fast-moving time, people share in the fate of others. The diseased hunting lessee Fritz Schmidt, who lived in Berlin, became known that Treunitzer citizens prayed for his welfare. This impressed Schmidt very much and in gratitude to the Treunitzers opposite he donated this chapel. He died in 2003.
The chapel is dedicated to hunting and was therefore dedicated to St. Hubert of Liège, patron saint of hunters.
