Kahm Cemetery is laid out in terraces under forest cover and partly small by stone walls of local granite, but it has no physical limit on the upper part to allow gradual expansion. This location, in combination with tradition, is located on beautiful grounds laid out in steps connected by stairs that structure the cemetery. The dry stone walls have niches for lamps (Hindenburglichter) or religious images of the Stations of the Cross.

I enter through a first imposing trap, then through a brick porch with a molding and a tiled roof. Meditate on the shared stone bench, which hugs the arched low wall around a tree. The stelae are distributed around the perimeter along the walls, reliable for those who remain. At the bottom, drawn plaques have been inserted into the deceased wall. The stelae are distributed around the perimeter along the walls, reliable for those who remain.

On one of the stelae we can read a text whose suggested translation is as follows: “Here lie our brave comrades: 110- Werhman Seb.Link soldier of the 3rd Bavarian regiment of Landwher, 5th company;- 111 soldier Martin Lehner,- 113 Private Jean-Baptiste Hage,- 114 Private Magn. Shindele corresponded to the same unit, the 3rd Bavarian Regiment. All died on July 6, 1916 at the Buchenkopf. They rest in vde. This regiment occupied the sector from the end of August 1914 to October 1914 and then returned to the Bonhomme sector until the end of the war.
