Built in 1889, it was destroyed by French bombing in 1934, then rebuilt and destroyed this time by German bombing in 1944. It was only rebuilt in 1990 by volunteers and you can climb up there to have a view impregnable.

The tower is visible from afar in the region, getting there from the Vosges offers magnificent views. It has a turbulent history, having been rebuilt several times due to destruction during the two world wars. The latest reconstruction is the work of members of a local association, nicknamed the Fadas. The Welches country trail ends there before descending to Obrey.
