Ruhraue

In the middle of the Ruhrgebiet the RuhrtalRadweg leads you again and again through the beautiful meadow landscape of the Ruhr. Only by bike can you escape the city noise so fast.

In longer dry weather really wonderful and recommended.
In wet weather, however, the paths turn into muddy streams that you have to cross (see photos)

The nature is beautiful

Since the number of really beautiful cycling routes in the Ruhr area are now really manageable. I recommend the "Ruhraue" in the evening or even better at night. Otherwise, I'm the "terrible traffic" on the ignition. I can not get excited about this bike path. Fast and sporty driving is absolutely impossible due to the crowded and narrow roads.

Very nice place on the Ruhr

The path was mostly paved, which I personally do not find so good and we are now frequented by even more people. It gets tight there. But then you take a little gas and then it fits again. However, there remains a very scenic section along the Ruhr meadows.
