On the Alvier you have a wonderful view to the west of Lake Walen, to the north into the Rhine Valley to Lake Constance and to the southeast into the Rhine Valley upwards towards Prättigau - in between to the mountains of the cantons of Appenzell, St. Gallen, Glarus and Graubünden as well as the peaks of Liechtenstein and Vorarlberg. Simply wonderful 😍😍😍. And the broad back of the Alvier and the Alvier hut invite you to linger and enjoy. For example, descent to the Alvier:
- Through the south flank of Palfris via Chemmi. (T3 with rope safety devices)
- Over the northwest slope from Buchser-Malbun via Alp Malschüel. (T3)
- Coming from Malschüel, the Schaner-Alp or the Alp-Arin via the northeast ridge via the Barbiel ridge. (T2)
