The end of our Hamburg vacation was a bike and hike in the zoo and city park. The city bike offer came in handy. Once registered with five euros, two bicycles can be activated at the same time and the first thirty minutes of each ride are free. With this info in mind, we had three free rides. Completely okay for the city center.

A great walk from Blankenese along the Elbe back to Hamburg city center. Roaming through a wildlife park and climbing onto the sloping dockland building with external stairs. The conclusion was once again the beautiful Planten un Blooming.

Motivated by the many joggers yesterday during the walk on the Außenalster, I decided to give it a try this morning and went for a walk around the Außenalster. It was fun. At that time there was nothing going on at the US Embassy but according to news there must have been a big #BlackLivesMatter demo here in the afternoon.

Inner Alster, Outer Alster and then finally following the Alster made a trip to the city park with planetarium. I was dry again just in time for the cloudburst. There are so many rivers and canals that you can actually do a city sightseeing tour completely on water with a SUP, canoe or pedal boat.

Shortly after arriving we discovered the most beautiful of Hamburg: Planten un Blomen. A beautiful city park plus a botanical garden that was probably especially well prepared for this year's 200th anniversary. We recommend. The Elbphilharmonie viewing terrace was also free of charge.

When crossing from Breitenberg to Rotspitze you take the high gears with you. A short beautiful via ferrata with a ladder in it mixed with a tightrope walk. Most reports state that via ferrata equipment is not absolutely necessary, except for children or via ferrata climbers who have not yet been "tested". I agree with him. Would say to climb the via ferrata in the opposite direction is a little more difficult. In any case, yesterday I had a lot of fun with the imperial weather. Maybe accompanied again next time. That would have topped it yesterday. Maybe because no bridge day and during the week, but it wasn't as busy as the full parking lot would suggest.

Today the hike continued on foot towards Lindau. But I switched to my bike. From the mouth of the Leiblach we went towards Meckatz and Quelle. This river also offers many beautiful trails. Every now and then there may be a few stairs or bridges. But if you love your bike ... 😉 On the first stretch it is the border river to Austria. It seems that many borders are unguarded again, especially the Greens. Only on the freeway there was traffic jam due to control. Let's see if it really falls on June 15th. The source is a little hidden and you have to cross a field. But you can see the bank from the street anyway and can be used as a guide. A local told me right away that there is another spring nearby, which also feeds the river after a few meters. Leiblach thus has a double source. Unfortunately, the brewery of the Meckatzer brewery is closed on Mondays. All in all a three-digit tour.

Because of the rather changeable weather a walk from Meersburg to Friedrichshafen. Again and again sea contact and brief rain contact. Apparently the short storm must have surprised the sailors. Because shortly before Fischbach, in addition to ambulances, an emergency doctor and a fire brigade, DLRG vehicles with boats came along on the B31.This walk is a classic and always nice.
