At Älpli there is an unmarked path that takes you up to Gonzen. Instead of making a big detour via Rieterhütten, you can go up the meadow to the left at Älpli, you can then see the beaten path and when you get to the wall, the path leads along the wall over simple meadow terrain. At the top, the path joins the normally signposted mountain hiking trail.

From Älpli to Wang, the trail is included on the Komoot map, but not on the Swiss Topo map.
From Wang to the Gonzen summit, the trail is included on both maps.
So it's easy to route.
The trail is very steep, up to 40%, mostly clearly visible but not signposted.
