Hiking

The crooked house in its current form was built in 1406 on a gravel base. The building was repeatedly softened by the water of the Blau, so that the south façade sank further and further over the years. The collapse of the house was prevented by concrete foundations that were installed in the 19th century.
It is often referred to as the most crooked hotel in the world and made it into the Guinness Book of Records in 1997.

The original half-timbered house from the 14th century acquired its current appearance as a five-storey house in 1443 after several additions and renovations. It was used by the shipmasters of Ulm.
