In this garden, visitors can touch and smell various plants to explore their olfactory and tactile properties. A particular highlight is the fountain, which uses its cleverly shaped bowls to set the water in pulsating movements so that it can also be touched.

The oldest garden of its kind in the country, designed by the landscape architects Eppinger + Schmid

Woody plants, perennials, and flowerbeds, along with their very different olfactory and tactile properties, are waiting to be discovered. Touching and smelling are therefore expressly permitted. Even the fountain is subject to this concept, with its ingeniously shaped bowls setting the water into a pulsating motion—perceptible! It is the first major public work by the artist and landscape architect Herbert Dreiseitel, a pioneer of water planning in urban spaces. Prior to the project, Dreiseitel met with a group of blind people to understand how they perceive the world.
