Tips

  • According to an information board, not much is known about the chapel ruins. Originally a pagan shrine, a wooden chapel is said to have been erected here by a hermit in the 12th century. It gradually became a place of pilgrimage and was later rebuilt by the Cistercians of Pfaffenbronn as a sandstone chapel.
