There are interesting Romanesque and Gothic wall reliefs to admire in the chapel.

This small church in Naturns is only 400m off the cycle path and is probably one of the absolute highlights on the entire route! The oldest Romanesque frescoes in German-speaking countries from the period 720 - 770, i.e. pre-Carolingian! The top row shows Gothic frescoes.
It is dedicated to the 4th Bishop of Verona, who lived in the third century of our era and suffered from the persecution of Christians by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. This is where the most famous depiction of a “saint on a swing” comes from, which in reality represents the rescue of St. Proculus from the city from his persecutors.
The decorative bands on the left and right walls are designed in the Byzantine style and on the front wall in the Celtic style. Both are said to ward off evil spirits.
Scenes from the creation story are depicted on the outside wall. Particularly noteworthy is the creation of Eve from the human side.
We were again lucky to experience the incredibly knowledgeable man who told and explained a lot of details in a humorous and lively way. Just ask or ask for an explanation!
