The fish market is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful squares in Greifswald. The focal point is the fish fountain, which was inaugurated in 2000 and is intended to remind people of the previous use of the square.
There are several restaurants and cafés here and the fish market is a popular meeting place. Part of the Christmas market is also located here at Christmas time.

The fish market is not actually a square in its own right, but rather a part of the Greifswald market square!
