Nice view of the garden of God, as the Main Valley is also called. The Banz monastery complex, a former Benedictine abbey built in the Baroque style by Leonhard Dientzenhofer, is visible from afar on the Banzberg. In 1719 the heart of the complex, the monastery church, was consecrated. In 1979 the Hanns- Seidel Foundation bought Banz Monastery and restored the buildings. Kloster Banz has been an educational center for political adult education since 1983.
