Hiking
A little off the beaten paths around the Staffelberg lies this old quarry. The exposed rock faces offer an interesting insight into the geology of the Staffelberg area and show how rock was mined here in the past.
Today, nature has partially reclaimed the former mining area. This precisely creates an exciting contrast between the striking rock faces and the surrounding landscape.
A small, rather quiet highlight off the classic Staffelberg loop – especially interesting for everyone who also takes a look at the geology and history of the landscape while hiking.
