The old town of Arzberg

In addition to an inviting brewery, the beautiful center of Arzberg has several sights for its visitors. Above all, the house of the famous researcher and discoverer Alexander von Humboldt, but also a beautiful church castle with a defensive wall and powder tower.

The oldest architectural monument in the city is the powder tower with a conical roof from the late Middle Ages, a corner tower of the churchyard fortification on the best-preserved south-eastern side. On the south side of the fortified church is Benckendorff's crypt from 1782 with 14 marble tombstones behind a forged iron gate and the Beckendorff-Niclot coat of arms.

Arzberg's beautiful corners have to be discovered. But there are many beautiful spots and buildings.
