Hiking Highlight (Segment)
The ascent over the Hölltobel and the Rautweg leads along natural mountain paths. Ankle-high mountain boots with a good tread sole, sure-footedness and a minimum of head for heights are recommended! Beware of wet conditions!
The descent is below Gerstrubens. Here you have the opportunity to admire the deep insight into the interior of the gorge via airy hanging viewing pulpits.

One of the most beautiful ravines I know, you should absolutely run up to Gerstruben and then stop off and enjoy the view

Yes, the Tobel was really exciting and you can through the steel grid floors very far ahead

Spectacular march over steep trail. Once a creek must be crossed. Pure nature and definitely worth a detour. Best descend on the Rautweg again.

The ascent to Gerstruben on the roaring Hölltobel with its walk-in platforms is a must for us every year. In the lower area children can play beautifully on the water.

Very worth seeing section - a bit exhausting during the ascent but absolutely recommended. Surefootedness required!

A "small" wild ravine with a large waterfall, which is not expected here. The path is easy to walk with hiking shoes, but when it is wet it is tw. quite slippery.

Spectacular, grandiose natural spectacle - a great hiking trail and (so far) not overcrowded.

An exciting path and a huge waterfall. Definitely a recommended hike. I walked up the Hölltobelweg and descended via the Rautweg. I think it's better that way than the other way around. Hiking shoes are useful, the path is very uneven and often slippery. Walking sticks can also be helpful.

Great, varied path that definitely requires sturdy shoes. Particularly recommended in summer, as the Tobelweg is then probably the least damp and slippery and is therefore the best passable.
