Those who want to make a detour on the way to the Hahnenköpfle are well served here. The path is not signposted and the last stretch to the summit cross is difficult. You should think twice before doing this. However, it is also less committed. Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view.

The branch to the Riefenkopf is not signposted for a good reason, but can be seen (as of June 2020). You should only start it in very good conditions and in good shape! The route is particularly dangerous when it is wet!
The path is narrow, steep, uneven and it goes deep. Towards the end, a large tree blocks the ascent to the summit cross. The path continues a little further around and ends a few meters below the summit. The prospects are rewarding (probably even better on the "real" summit). If you dare, you can take the detour.
