Tips

  • Super-beautiful stretch along the mountain streams for a long time. The first ascent from the direction of Tegernsee is relatively steep, followed by a great intermediate descent. Then it goes relatively comfortably high over the Spitzingsee to the Spitzingsattel 1129 m above sea level. NN.DANGER:
BUS TRAFFIC: hourly bus service on the route between Spitzingsee and Rottach-Egern. So don't overdo it on the descent.
SNOW HOLE: It is best not to go before May! Otherwise, there is a great risk that you will get stuck in the snow from Rottach in the shady area to the Brenner Gorge.

sensational road bike track: fantastic nature (sometimes almost too nice to drive through quickly), no traffic, everything paved and a few vertical meters for the condition.

For me one of the most beautiful racing bike routes in Bavaria!

The road is very well paved - no potholes. It is for the most part even closed to motor traffic. The route offers two beautiful climbs and a great descent. And you always have views of the mountains, wildly romantic gorges or gentle pastures. Out of sheer wonder one does not notice the altimeter.

Wildromantisch with neat elevation meters. Take better care on the descent. Again and again buses as oncoming traffic.

Really great track, but you have to be a bit careful with the snow - I've had to wear the bike for a few meters at Easter. Advantage then: There is really nobody else on the way!

  • You should really pay attention to the bus. The bus commutes every hour between 9 and 18 o'clock between Spitzingsee and Tegernsee. Here is the plan: rvo-bus.de/oberbayernbus/view/mdb/kursbuch/mdb_237121_9560_16.pdf

Since I can only join the other recessions. A dream track that you sometimes have to drive with photo stops.

Quiet street, easy to climb slope, in between nice departure. Scenic dreamlike. Take care of bus traffic, as the road tw. very tight.

For cars and motorcycles locked. Perfect road surface, very quiet and an awesome scenery. Just getting there is not that easy ...

But there is a bus, which served the route probably up to 7 times a day each direction. If the leaves are not much space left ... So beware at the exit!

Beautiful racing bike route on Weißer and Roter Valepp towards Spitzingsee. In summer the pools invite you to swim.

  • ATTENTION: It is best not to drive before May! Otherwise there is a great risk that you will get stuck in the snow from Rottach in the shady area to the Brennerklamm gorge.

If you have something else to look forward to next to the racing bike paradise, you can start the summer with a chairlift or start the winter in the Spitzingsee ski area.
