Tips

The summit on the Jägerkamp is something special. Grandiose view of the dark blue Spitzingsee, cowbell bells from the Schönfeldalm, fragrant alpine meadows and a peace that make you forget everyday life.

The Jägerkamp can be reached with a moderate amount of altitude and is a good tip for those who want to escape the madness on the Taubenstein and on the Rotwand. The climb is not particularly demanding, yet it is not a wide track. The path sometimes leads over hill and dale and roots, in wet conditions you should be careful here.

Great panoramic mountain above the Spitzingsee with beautiful views over Schliersse and Wendelstein and towards Tirol with the Sonnenwendjoch and Schinder.

    Very nice wide view but:
!!! Be careful when descending it is very difficult, especially when it is wet. You need very good alpine experience!

Hiking trail 642 from Jägerkamp north to the Jägerbauernalm is closed during the winter months (until March 30th). A corresponding sign is only at the lower end of the ridge path; it seems to be missing on the Jägerkamp; there is only a corresponding sign on the way to the southwest.
