About wolfi

Today the island crossing is announced for the first time. After high temperatures were announced yesterday, I leave at 6.30am.It starts right away, the climb to the Orebic pass. A good 400 meters in altitude to get in the mood. The good thing is that the ascent is still in the shade, the sun is still low. The scent of the gorse along the street is wonderful, especially in the morning the plant smells really intense. The view of the coast becomes more beautiful with every passing minute.Once at the pass, a nice portrait of the racing bike is first made, then it goes further inland. The peninsula is characterized by viticulture. There are grapevines far and wide, especially in the fertile inland valleys. The villages are very simple, you can tell that tourism does not yet play a role here. But the roads - wow - they are in TOP condition, it is a pleasure to glide over the smooth asphalt with the racer. And no car for miles around, I'm on my own. And when I run into a car, the drivers are very friendly and considerate. I never felt pressured once.

Day one of our vacation - it's not a racing bike vacation but of course my big hit will be there. It won't be extremely long tours, but I'll get in the saddle whenever I can.First of all, I wanted to get to know the coastal road. It's one of the few slightly flatter parts. Otherwise, the motto here is - mercilessly collect altitude meters.First of all, the roads are great, the people are super friendly and they also take good care of us cyclists. The peninsula is a real recommendation.

Quickly scrubbed a few meters of altitude again, in the east of Munich ...Even though I started before 8 o'clock, the heat was quite an issue. At these temperatures I no longer drive on performance, because I do solid basic tours.

The coolness of the night is still in the air, through the shady forest there is even a slight shiver in it, but in the sun - wonderfully pleasant. The time for tours in the early morning or late evening really comes. Today I started at 6.45 am - have not regretted it.

The wonderful weather doesn't let me sit still - a little evening round around the Ebersberger Forst had to be and ... the power in my legs is back again.

Today I brought the bus to Tyrol for our vacation - handover at the border.Actually I was expecting top weather but ... in Kiefersfelden it was only 15 ° and it was raining.Overall, the tour strengthened my character - a really nasty headwind from the northwest has already cost me a few grains. Two bypasses have also lengthened the route a little. And my legs were also a bit heavy, after all the 6th tour this week.UFF ... but well done.

Today I left extra early to escape the heat of the day. The Alpine foothills south of Ebersberg was my destination.Today I noticed from the beginning that there was no power in the calves. Well, I could blame it on the headwind, but actually I had really heavy legs today. So made two decisions at short notice - instead of 100km only 75 km and really easy ... If the wind comes from the front, no problem, just shift down a gear and you have more time for the wonderful landscape. And when things go down, don't step like a bull, but just let go.So a possible "Quäldich-Tour" turned into a fine group of connoisseurs, although it did not strengthen the character, it was good for the soul.

On each of the last 5 days the racing bike tortured - today is the end - comfortable rolling but with a few meters of altitude.
