The 15% ramp from Kirchdorf up to Gasteig is short but tough. Otherwise, the loop is quite flat and pleasant to ride. The federal road from St. Johann to Kitzbühel can of course also be easily bypassed, e.g. via the Römerweg. That would add almost 150 meters of elevation.

Today was a dream again, perfect temperatures and a fine distant view of the mountains. The kilometers just flew by. Of course, I also took my favorite bike path from Harthausen to Oberpframmern again.

The Römerweg is a nice bypass of the main road between St. Johann and Kitzbühel, and on the side you gain a few meters in altitude, garnished with fine views of the Kaiser and Kitzbühel.
