The Brecherspitz is about three kilometers as the crow flies south-southwest of Neuhaus am Schliersee; its eastern ridge extends to the Spitzingsattel. It belongs to the middle mountain group of the Mangfallgebirge, the Schlierseer mountains. With its distinctive pyramid shape, it is considered the local mountain of Schliersee. The mountain is first mentioned in the years 1078-1080 in a borderline description of the Hochstift Freising as "mons Spizzinch" (the mountain Spitzing).

Great tour to Brecherspitz, but goes from the Almseite on the mountain. The tour from the parking lot on the mountain saddle is only something for experienced hikers who also want to climb. There are about 2-3 places where a 5 meter wall without protection has to be climbed up. The walls are grippy in summer and easy to get over.

Paradeberg in the Spitzing area, great views guaranteed. Several approaches lead to the summit. The climb in the area of the Upper Firstalm over a tightrope walk to the highest point is probably the most beautiful. But be careful, it is absolutely safe walking and a head for heights.

An ascent that has paid off. BUT ATTENTION !!! If you are not afraid of heights and sure-footed, there is a passage that challenges you. The path over the ridge between the "Brecherspitz Vorgipfel" and the Brecherspitz summit is warned by the Alpine Club of a dangerous place.

The ascent over the east ridge (above the Spitzingsattel) is life-threatening. I love being in the mountains, but this climb has really panicked me in at least two places. Please think carefully about whether you really want to take the ascent and prefer to walk over the west ridge to the Brecherspitz.

Popular summit with fantastic views in all directions. Three paths of varying duration and difficulty lead to the crusher tip, but they are all beautiful. Two of them are described in detail on my website: adventtour.net/post/brecherspitz-ostgrat-schlierseespitz
