The Bodetal welcomes you wild and yet so romantic. In some places the Bode is boiling loudly and threateningly. At others she invites you to linger, sometimes you can even get in. Many mystical places await you there, such as the Bodekessel or the Sonnenklippe. In some places cliffs protrude into the valley and you can, for example, look up to the Rosstrappe and marvel at the huge rock massif. If you are a good observer, in this valley you can see trout in the water, birds like the dipper or the gray wagtail.
You can reach the Bodetal either from Treseburg or from Thale. There is sufficient parking space on both sides, mostly for a fee. Gastronomy is available at both entry points and in the valley in the Gasthaus Königsruhe.
The paths from Thale to the inn and from Treseburg to the Sonnenklippe are easy to walk on and most of them are barrier-free. In the middle part of the valley, surefootedness and attention are required. Stones stick out of the way everywhere here and can be trip hazards. But it is precisely this wildness that makes the Bodetal so fascinating.

Get up early and go. Then you have this section almost to yourself. Now and then leave the path (of course in other ways) and you get a completely different perspective.
I started in Thale at 0400.
What is stupid ... Many restaurants do, even in the season, at lunchtime (attention word games) LUNCH BREAK! !!! 😂
