It is one of the most mystical and legendary places in the Bodetal. A beech tree clings to the rock and has been growing small and stocky for many years. The Bode shoots past the cliff far below. There is a bank, information boards and a stamp office for the Harzer hiking nobility.
You can easily reach the Sonnenklippe from Treseburg. A 15 to 20-minute walk without major differences in altitude will take you to this point on a consistently easy hiking trail. A few hundred meters from the sun cliff you can dig your feet into the ground on a small pebble beach. In Treseburg there is a large, chargeable car park. Several restaurants invite you to stop there.

Unfortunately closed for our visit. So we will come back again. The stamp box was then in front of the barrier right next to the parking lot on the display board.

Unfortunately, the beech died, giving the sun cliff its striking appearance.
It remains a beautiful place nonetheless.
