Location approx. 200 m south of today's road bridge from Neckarhausen to Glatt. The middle of the three wooden pillars rammed deep into the Neckar marks the border between the administrative districts of North Baden (to the east) and South Baden (to the west).
The construction method has been known since the Romans. The construction is the only one of its kind that has survived in southern Germany. The existing bridge dates back to 1780, but parts of the wooden construction date from around 1257 (dendrochronological dating). The bridge was restored in 1988, and the entire superstructure was renewed.
The bridge has 3 pillar spans, each with 6 oak beams, which are driven 4 m deep.
