The Ice Fountain never looks the same. The extent to which the fountain forms ice layers or not depends on the sun, humidity, temperature, wind and precipitation. The IJsfontein was designed by Birthe Leemeijer from the UK in collaboration with urban planners and a local sounding board group.Do you follow my bicycle city tour (see my collection for the entire tour) and did you take a selfie with this fountain? Then this is your eleventh fountain and last fountain. Tomorrow one last ride to Leeuwarden, the last stretch.

You just have to see it. Above, fog rises like clouds from a volcano and in many places the work of art is covered with hoarfrost or ice 👌
