The Friendship Island is located in the middle of Potsdam between two arms of the Havel. There is a large garden on the island since the beginning of the 20th century. For the Federal Garden Show in 2001, the garden was restored and partially redesigned. Today you will find countless flowers, ponds, a playground and a café.

Hiking

The Friendship Island is a nice place to linger and not far from the Potsdam train station. There are also sanitary facilities and a cafe, which is open in summer. If you want you can rent pedal boats, sups and canoes.
