Sculpture group by Valeer Peirsman, commissioned by the city of Temse. Three of the four statues are based on authentic quay walkers: Den Bruine (Alfons Gosselin), far left; De Mekker (Désiré Aelbrecht), second from the left; and De Schele Wringer (Frans Vervynckt), far right. The fourth quay walker, second from the right, symbolizes all quay walkers. The monument offers space for people to have their picture taken in this company. The sculpture group has also been immortalized in the comic books Haaiman (Kiekeboe) and Het Zevende Zwaard (Jommeke).
