Sculpture group by Valeer Peirsman commissioned by the city of Temse. Three of the four statues are based on authentic quay runners: den Bruine (Alfons Gosselin), on the far left; de Mekker (Désiré Aelbrecht), 2nd from the left; and the Schele Wringer (Frans Vervynckt), far right. The 4th quay runner, second from the right, symbolizes all quay runners. The monument offers space to be photographed in this company. The sculpture group has also been immortalized in the comic books Haaiman
(Peekaboo) and The Seventh Sword (Jommeke).
