The Tielrodebroek is a controlled flood area or pot polder, located at the confluence of the Scheldt and the Durme. You can enjoy mud flats and salt marshes, with reed beds, willow forests and extensive hay meadows. Many water birds, such as ducks and blue herons, have their home here.
The nature reserve is accessible all year round on the hiking trails. A walking dike runs around the potpolder.

From junction 76, you cycle through Tielrodebroek, a pot-holed polder along the confluence of the Scheldt and Durme rivers. Then you arrive in Schouselbroek, one of the first polders along the Scheldt. This area has been transformed into a flood control area, where mudflats and salt marshes form valuable natural habitats thanks to the ebb and flow of the tides.
