Tallinn Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats)

As a central square in the Old Town, the Rathausplatz still plays an important role - in summer the square fills with outdoor cafés, the old town days and the medieval days are celebrated, open-air concerts, markets, etc. take place. In the winter, the Rathausplatz turns into a magical Christmas market, in the middle of which sits a proud Christmas tree. The tradition of the Christmas festivities goes back to the year 1441, when the brotherhood of the Blackheads erected a Christmas tree there for the first time.

The town hall square impresses above all the town hall, which was built already in the 13th century.
