To the cathedral island in Wroclaw (Wroclaw) one reaches over the cathedral bridge (Most Tumski). The construction of stone and riveted steel was built in the years 1888-1892. Statues of Saints Hedwig and John the Baptist standing to the left and right of the bridge seem to guard access to the island. The term island is no longer true. In the 19th century, the citizens of Wroclaw poured out the northern branch of the Oder. Since then, the cathedral island is no longer an island.
