In 1872 the Jewish community of Mühlhausen was given an area of 300 m² on the eastern part of the municipal cemetery. The burials started in the same year, the last burial was in 1944. Today there are 151 graves in the Jewish cemetery. Since the municipal cemetery was closed and partially built over, the Jewish cemetery is located on the edge of a green area.
