A very nice, but also a difficult tour ... definitely for our age group. To stick to the Komoot classification: we three hikers rate the tour as moderately difficult. The subsoil was mostly rocky, stony. The flat stretch had a share of perhaps 1%.We were surprised that some fields are still being worked upstairs, with potatoes, onions and wine. The weather was very good on the way there, on the way back the sun was hidden behind the clouds. But it was still very pleasant ... For the route we needed 4 hours, including 2 breaks of 10 minutes each ...

Willi chose this tour and made an excellent choice. I liked today's hike even better than the hike two days ago in the Esperanza Forest ... You can understand it well when you see the photos. Whereby: you can't show the dreamy area as realistically in photos as it is in reality ... I have strong memories of the "Bryce Canyon" National Park in Utah (USA) ...There are 2 more things to mention:1) while the coastal region was under a cloud cover, it was so warm here at an altitude between 2100 and 2200 m that you didn't need a jacket or sweater, but a polo shirt was sufficient.
2) The day before yesterday the Spanish government decreed that you have to wear a mask on the beach on your towel and when hiking in nature. The Canarian government put that into perspective yesterday. Of course we wore a mask today :-)

Hiked with Evelyn and Ulrich today, from above Los Gigantes to Tamaimo and back. A nice tour that could be expanded if necessary ... on the way at the goat farm we supplied ourselves with fresh eggs :-)
At the end I stopped by Evelyn and Ullrich for a coffee and took the photo of the sea ...

At the beginning of the tour (at 940 m) it was about 10 minutes uphill ... nothing for people with dachshund legs :-)But if Uschi had been there, she would have made it! Maybe with a little less speed ...Then it was only moderately up to the highest point of the tour (1240 m) and from then on only downhill. Always through a wonderful forest area with super-nice weather, as you can see on the photos. Not to be forgotten are the excellent views of the Teide, which is still partly covered with snow ... fantastic!Today I got to know a new area again and I am absolutely thrilled. I have been compensated more than enough for the journey of around an hour. It was worth it.@Willi: Reinhard, my companion today, fits in perfectly with us :-)
