Heute war seit dem 01. Januar der Himmel auf der gesamten Insel wolkenlos und somit sonnig. Es war auch ganz überwiegend windstill. Daher sind wir früh raus und zuerst zum "Mirador Llano del Jable" gefahren. Hier schaut man auf den Vulkan "Tajogaite", der im September 2021 ausgebrochen ist. Die umliegende Gegend ist von feinem, schwarzen Lava-Sand übersät. Die Ausblicke von hier oben ( ca. 1.300 Hm} sind traumhaft. Danach sind wir zum Parkplatz des Besucherzentrums "La Caldera de Taburiente" gefahren und dort zu einem Spaziergang aufgebrochen. Die grüne Landschaft und der Blick auf die Berge erinnert mich an Wanderungen im Allgäu, zumal auch hier viele Kühe im saftigen Gras weiden. Wir wundderten uns über die vielen Steinhaufen, die rechts und links des Weges zu sehen sind. Ein Mitarbeiter des Besucherzentrums klärte uns auf: die Steine lagen früher auf den Felder und wurden zu einem "Berg" aufgeschichtet, damit die Felder bestellt bzw. die Kühe das Gras genießen können. Ein riesiges Feld war zu unserer Überraschung voll mit zur Zeit in der Blüte stehenden Blumen "Nadelkissen" (Protea), und das war wunderbar anzusehen...
