In 1836 the front of the chapel was decorated with a Gothic portal made by the sculptor Anton Wagner from Sloup. A remarkable miraculous image of the Virgin Mary was placed in the chapel by the sculptor Eugenie Hauptmann-Sommer and images of saints hung on the trees again. The religious cult here was strongly intertwined with the wild beauty of the romantic rocky valley.
