Today in a bit cloudy weather it should be the Chojnik with its castle ruin Kynast. Starting from a trail parking lot, we did not approach the lap quite so steeply. The castle ruin is still very well preserved. The best we found the view from the watchtower. The cave stone lures to a rest, only later we noticed that a swarm of bees had the same idea. The cave itself is only a narrow crevice. Then past the source and back to the parking lot. There was a nasty surprise. We were both stolen daytime lights which gave us 3 hours police company but friendly. As it was our last day in Poland, unfortunately, the last memory is not very positive. Actually we enjoyed it very much and the people were also very friendly.

A hike to Orle - Karltal, through the beautiful Karltal along the river Iser to Goss Iser. Refresh in the Jizera, a must. Retreat in the Gross Iserbaude with coffee and cake with some history lessons, wife speaks German. Over the blue stones way, further over the Pferdelochweg back in Jakobstal. Large parts of the tour also goes by bicycle.

We wanted to the new Silesian Baude and Zackelfall. Since the climb was too steep for me, I was looking for an alternative. I did not want to go by train. Since Schreiberhau is in a cauldron, I thought there must be something soft. So we decided to use the bike paths and that was no mistake. It goes on out-of-the-way roads along the railway line for a while. Things are going well and cyclists we saw only a few. A small break at the Great Peaks and later the interesting moor were the highlights of the first section. On the green way it was already a bit steeper, we have to get up someday. Past the Maria Felsen with great views of our destination and the Reifträger it goes on boardwalks through a wetland with typical forest all the way to Baude. From the Baude downhill it goes very steep mountain, past the Zackelfall on bad road.

Unfortunately, the tour did not quite record. I had forgotten the Reserveaccu so just said the phone. It lacks 2.5 km to the starting point, which we have set back on the closed road for vehicles. The tour went steeply uphill to Hochsteinbaude, a great view of the Giant Mountains and comfortably on the ridge trail over the Schwarzenberg to the death curve. With also a wonderful view. On the death curve, a 360 degree turn, there is also parking.
As the clouds pour out in the Thuringian Forest, Coburg Fortress was the alternative for us. An impressive building, very well preserved and many exhibitions. We spent half the day there. In a small restaurant on the fortress wall you also get something good to eat and drink. In the fortress there is also a snack bar with vending machines.
A varied tour begins in Heubach after Fehrenbach by the same reason. Along rock formations, the Fehrenbacher Switzerland, to donkey ground. Along a small babbling brook up to the Rennsteig. The Werrabaude was closed so it went straight to the Turmbaude. With simple food and good beer, we could warm up. As the rain increased, it went back the shortest way. There was still some education on the planet path.
