The "Neuaubinger Wäldchen" has been a "protected part of the landscape" since 1993 in order to preserve the typical mixed deciduous forest and to maintain and promote the biodiversity of the flora and fauna on the outskirts of Munich. It forms a buffer between the A96 motorway and the limestone grasslands of the former Neuaubing track camp, which are valuable for nature conservation.
In parts, it was once part of the railway depot in Neuaubing, occasionally there are structural remains such as a pool of water or a garden gate that give the impression of an overgrown park or forgotten place.
The grove is a bird's paradise and you should follow the existing trails when crossing to protect nature.
