It was built in 1891 with a miller's house and a bakery by the farmer Heinrich Lanwer from Strücklingen. The originally two-story gallery dutchman was from the beginning with two Mahlgängen and a Peldegang equipped. In November 1972, the mill fell victim to a hurricane. From the mill only a stump stump remained. After a 2-year construction period, the gallery dutchman 2001 again shone in new splendor. The mill and the two-storey extension serve as an information center and meeting room for local clubs and groups. There is also the possibility to get married in the mill.

If you are traveling through Osthrauderfehn and Idafehn in the direction of Strücklingen, you will pass by quickly. but the few meters to the mill are a detour, which I gladly accept myself. Maybe not the prettiest mill in the region, but certainly worth seeing.
