Hiking

The old mill canal was freed from its concrete cover a good 20 years ago. A Venetian gondola drove on the canal for the inauguration. So it happened that the people of Bayreuth named it after the famous model. The three steel sculptures in the water come from the well-known artist Horst Antes and are part of the "Bayreuth Sculpture Mile". When the weather is nice, the Canale Grande is a popular meeting place.
