No matter how you cycle, you should always take the Festspielhaus with you on the tour as a photo motif when touring through Bayreuth 👍🏻

If you are in Bayreuth, you should visit the festival hall.

Probably Bayreuth's photo motif. At the premiere on July 25 of each year (2020 not due to Corona), the show runs on the red carpet. The current mayor welcomes the prominence of politics, film and art under the king's portal. If you want to take a good picture, be there early and bring a ladder. The performance usually starts at 4 p.m.

Great performance house, in which only works by Richard Wagner are performed. The legendary orchestra pit is unique. Sensational acoustics that are second to none. Guided tours are possible (unfortunately not during rehearsals and performance times) and absolutely recommendable!

Festspielhaus info center opened in 2020. With public toilet (mman says gold taps should have been there for the high construction costs). There is also a small bookstore in addition to an information area.
Good starting point for tours in the Festspielhaus, as it is directly opposite on the west side.

Richard Wagner's Bayreuth Festival Theater from the 19th century is one of the largest opera stages in the world and is known for its unique acoustics. The auditorium has almost 2000 seats.

The Richard-Wagner-Festspielhaus, also called Bayreuther Festspielhaus, is a festival theater on the Green Hill in Bayreuth. It was built in the years 1872-75 by Otto Brückwald according to designs by Richard Wagner in the Hellenistic Romantic style. Unlike many opera houses, it does not have a permanent ensemble and every year, from July 25 to August 28, operas and music dramas by Wagner are performed in 30 performances as part of the Bayreuth Festival. It is considered one of the opera houses with the best acoustics in the world. (Source: Wikipedia)

The park around it is also worth seeing. Above there is a Kneipp pool. If you get the chance, be sure to take a look inside.
