This viewing point is located not far from the Schönebecker Höhe green area, which offers a panoramic view of Essen city center. The view goes past the Kamptal nature reserve to the north towards the city center with the town hall, RWE tower and television tower. The towers of three churches lie almost on a line in the east-southeast direction: St. Elisabeth in front, the Apostles Church behind, and St. Mary's Conception in the distance.
