Green spaces, a dye garden, and industrial culture make BernePark a worthwhile destination. The "Theater der Pflanzen" (Theater of Plants) has been created on the grounds of the former sewage treatment plant – a green work of over 20,000 perennials and grasses, which can be explored via a former scraper bridge. The former machine house now houses a restaurant with culinary offerings and a view of the greenery from the large terrace. Exhausted excursionists can even experience a very special overnight stay in the park hotel in a converted sewer pipe (reservations required: dasparkhotel.net/location/bernepark/).
