The Hill (Helle) is the longest watercourse in the High Fens, rises near Baraque Michel and flows into the Weser in Eupen's lower town. Formerly, in Roman times, it functioned as a border river. Then later, in the period from 1815 to 1919, it represented the border between Prussia and the Netherlands or Germany and Belgium. Today it forms the border between the German-speaking Eupen and the French-Wallonian part of Sourbrodt/Robertville.
