Nice view, great castle and a well-drivable path to the top, which is not too difficult. A little crowded on the weekend. If necessary, take the small unpaved forest path down. Is on the left about 150 meters after the castle on the way down. But be careful: there are a few stairs.

The Wartburg is a castle in Thuringia, located above the city of Eisenach at the northwestern end of the Thuringian Forest, 411 m above sea level. NN. It was founded around 1067 by Ludwig the Springer and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999.
The name means waiting, so guard, guard castle. The district of Eisenach called Wartha has no connection to the Wartburg.
Today's Wartburg was largely rebuilt in the 19th century, including less well-preserved parts. The present appearance of the Wartburg and its landscape park goes back to the Grand Duke Carl Alexander of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach.
