On the photo of the information board you can see that the entire summit of the Kallenburg was unwooded around 1900. After the farm burned down in 1905, the agricultural areas were reforested. Originally, the farm (named Oberhof) served as one of 2 estates for the agricultural supply of the Kallenburg.
