The Tonsee is a body of water in the municipality of Groß Köris in the Brandenburg district of Dahme-Spreewald.

The inflow and outflow lake is southeast of the community center in a forest area. Northeast of the lake is the district of Klein Köris, south of the district of Löpten. The body of water can be reached from the east via the Am Hang path via a campsite, or via another path to the south, which is an extension of the Am Tann path and also leads to the lake from the east. The Tonsee is part of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park.

The body of water is around nine hectares in size, has a maximum depth of 19 meters and an average depth of 8.8 meters. The lake consists of two sections that are connected to each other. In the northern part it is approximately circular; approximately rectangular in the southern part.

The unusual shape has to do with the formation of the water body, which, in contrast to the Teupitz water bodies to the north, is not of natural origin: at the end of the 19th century, the residents of Klein Köris convinced the Jewish businessman Goldschmidt to build a brick factory in the village. Before doing so, they dug wells into which they placed clay from Töpchin. They wanted to simulate a large clay deposit in the region. The factory was built and from 1889 to 1922 produced up to 42 million bricks per year, which were mainly transported to Berlin via the Teupitz waterways. After the factory closed, the pit, which was up to 40 meters deep, was filled with escaping spring water. In the 21st century, only one elevation is visible from the mining, which extends as a wooded slope in a north-easterly direction to the Bergstrasse.

The lake is mainly used for tourism. East and south are two campsites. An investigation by the Ministry of Justice and for Europe and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg showed in 2017 that the bathing water quality was "microbiologically unobjectionable". Visibility at the time of measurement was two meters.
