Hand-operated drawbridge between the Großer Moddersee and Schulzensee. When Theodor Fontane passed Groß Köris with the sailing boat “Sphinx” around 1900, he described the drawbridge with true enthusiasm.[18] In 1860 a bridge keeper's house was mentioned in a historical local encyclopedia. The building was used by a forester in the 20th century. The bridge was blown up by German soldiers in April 1945. There was then an emergency bridge used by pedestrians until the 1950s. The drawbridge was built in 1958 and was operated by hand until 1977.[
