The so-called "Villa Krüppel", today's registry office, is located at the rear of the park-like property, directly in a loop of the Erft. The "Villa Krüppel" was built in 1924/25 as a spacious house and remained in the possession of the Krüppel family until 1987. The city acquired land and buildings, restored and renovated the building complex and designed the new outdoor facilities with great care and attention to the "daring" to offer the appropriate ambience. For this reason, many bridal couples from near and far tie the knot here.
